A young group of Developers wished to create an exclusive development on the outskirts of Mumbai. They had a beautiful plot with thick vegetation and a natural pond. Being close to the shore the plot was dotted with palm trees and other such species. The plot hence had pleasant microclimate and ambience compared to the surrounding properties.
A strategy of making twin bungalows was created. These would be such that they would have minimum footprint and least amount of disruption of the existing flora. The parking facility was planned to be on the entry area and the accessibility to the plot was by walking only. The bungalows were planned on stilts and rose up the ground to 2 storeys. There was no physical sub-divisions within the plot as well. The entire plot was to be managed by a society and it was to have common amenities for all the residents.
